The universe I call Lamina has a unique feature. It breathes. Not elements, but knowledge from biology and biochemistry. The template for the state of the world at the time comes from DNA. Particularly mtDNA and Nuclear DNA with the gene TTAGGG as the creation stories.

There are five main characters:

Datura Nightshade

Sage Obsidian

Neroli Quicksilver

Sangria Vervain

Azalea Stone

They have a unique way with words. These beings look like the Laminae race but they are actually software being used in a simulation.

They reject the idea that they are software

Before breathing in, there is what I call an “Uninformed” state, meaning that what is presented is imagery on it’s own.

Breathing in is the process of Nuclumito’s influence as it adds as much information and detail as possible. 

Breathing out again, the imagery is now “informed” making it a fully developed short story

The Structure

Lamina is a living, breathing universe with a structure that at first resembles an eye. Two rings that could represent the iris and the lens.

The rest of Lamina has been largely unexplored until now.

Time to explore what holds Lamina together, who sent who? What is controlling Lamina?

Mission

Ultraviolet

The Lumine’s lives are in danger. They cannot stay in the ultraviolet range for long; it’s killing them slowly. They cannot go into infrared either because it would completely overwhelm them. So they absolutely must learn to lower their vibrations into a visible light spectrum and learn to move within that spectrum.

Think of it as trying to hold your breath under water 

Infrared

Then there are the Laminae who exist in the Infrared spectrum. It’s an immortal realm but in Lamina that’s not a good thing. The Lamina universe is not infinite nor are there infinite worlds. There are two types of immortality with one being infinite chaos and the other being everlasting life. The Laminae cannot stand the infrared spectrum and have to leave.

Think of it as trying to stay awake as long as possible and what it does to your body and mind

The first code is like words carved in stone, the one true statement in the language of the universe. Assisted by two helpers. One who’s soul purpose is for life to begin, and the other to judge where to begin. The two helpers only exist here and the beginning is for the most part forgotten consciously however it is written in the creatures themselves. To be passed on from one body to another. Instinct is created to modify behaviour without changing who they truly are.

Life begins with a surge of energy, like a switch as a piece of oneself is given up and the order of speed is given. 

The code has been laid out, in the middle is where to rest. For a little while. Some return to where they came. Returning informed and building a ring. While others wander off, finding companions along the way. They do not return because they are wild.

Standing in the middle of what began as a line carved in the stone, the path where you rested looking ahead to the potential being shown to you as you have chosen to continue. There is reward promised at the end of this journey. But, your destination is not to rest but to remain alert and ready.

The Lumine and the Laminae are put to the test. They are given mildly stressful situations. 

The path that has been taken is inter dimensional, as Ixchel is discovered. The path is fluid so far however, the destination is fixed, and grounded. Time is temporarily frozen as a moment is captured.

Missions

There are up to seven different “Loops” or “rounds” in Lamina’s development. Each with a mission to complete. The first loop is Lamina noticing itself and fascinated it wants more and more.

Nuclumito wants to play. 

Making copies of the Opsin Portal’s disagreements into “open ended” stories. Exploring all possibilities and making new versions of itself in the process. The goal is to make all the information needed to create with.

The rule is for the stories to remain “open ended” 

The Opsin Portal wants to gather everything it needs, and then it gives a limit of moves that can be made for a story. What I mean by moves are the amount of “branching off” a story is allowed at that time

Think of it as having a pair of dice in your hand and you are limited by the number you roll.

This cosmic playtime is chaotic, will order be established?

My First Story

I will introduce to you the evolution of my universe Lamina as it fulfills important missions and answers questions about Lamina. Its nature as a living, breathing universe.

A blue dragon and white deer combined, this creature carries a deadly sting. Its red saliva, however, has the power to heal if it chooses to lick your wounds.The imagery of a white deer symbolizes a messenger, and its healing properties are inspired by a tree in Asia called a Dragon Tree. It has a deep red resin called Dragon’s Blood that can be applied to wounds for healing.
